Saturday 8th of March is International Women's Day.
Celebrated since the early 1900s, the day was used to promote women's rights during a time of rapid expansion and turbulence.
It's now an official public holiday in 28 countries worldwide, and in China, Madagascar and Nepal the holiday is reserved for women alone.
During the last 100 years great progress has been made towards equality and although there's some way to go the future is looking bright.
To celebrate International Women's Day here at Ebuzzing, we've created a Vine celebrating some of the world's most inspiring women who are pushing for a more equal tomorrow.
Let's celebrate women.
