I used to go for post titles that were a bit kooky, but decided that putting the most relevant words within the title were best. This can mean that the blog looks a bit strange with very basic titles, however you reap the rewards when you find most of your traffic begins to come from Google searches, not just the odd follower here and there when you try to plug your article on Twitter.
